Michael Munroe has over 30 years’ experience as a mine geologist and manager in narrow vein mining environments. He specializes in mentoring and training geologists and samplers, geologic modeling, resource estimation, and reconciliation. Michael has extensive international mine operations experience in Guatemala, Mexico, Venezuela, Canada, and Peru. He is an expert in geologic modeling using Leapfrog™ modeling software.
Before joining MTS, Mike worked for Hecla in Venezuela for 12 years, Endeavor Silver in Mexico for 7 years, and Tahoe Resources and Pan American Silver in Guatemala for 3 years. He received a B.Sc. degree in Geology from Acadia University in 1989, a Citation in Applied Geostatistics from the University of Alberta in 2006, and a M.Sc. degree in Geostatistics from the University of Alberta in 2012.
Michael is based in Nova Scotia, Canada.
