
John Durr has over 25 years of mining operations experience in international precious metals and base metals mining operations. He has worked at open pit and underground operations in the United States, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico and Papua New Guinea. John specializes in short and long range mine planning, open pit and underground ore reserve estimation, mine and mill maintenance, and operational improvement and debottlenecking.
Before joining MTS, John worked at many operations as a mining engineer, mine manager, and general manager. Operations include the San Ramon Mine in Colombia, the Mercedes and Palmarejo mines in Mexico, the Minera San Cristobal mine in Bolivia, the Marlin Mine in Guatemala, the San Martin Mine in Honduras, the Yanacocha and Toquepala mines in Peru, the Rand Mine in California, and the Post Betze and Bald Mountain mines in Nevada. John received a B.Sc. in Mining Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 1988.
