Todd Wakefield, Principal Geologist, RM-SME
Mr. Wakefield has 30 years of experience in mine operations, mining consulting, mineral exploration, and software development. He has worked at mining operations in the United States, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, and Indonesia, and consulted on mining and exploration projects around the world. Todd is an expert in mineral resource evaluation, database management, assay QA/QC, geochemical exploration, and software development. He has served as Qualified Person for over 15 Canadian NI 43-101 Technical Reports.
Before joining MTS, Mr. Wakefield worked for Newmont Mining in Nevada, Indonesia, and Peru for 10 years and AMEC Mining & Metals for 10 years. Todd received a B.Sc. degree in Geology from the University of Redlands in 1986 and a M.Sc. degree in Geology from the Colorado School of Mines in 1989.
Stella Searston, Principal Geologist, FAUSIMM and RM-SME
Ms. Searston has 30 years of operations and consulting experience in North and South America, Australia, the Pacific, and Africa for open-pit and underground mines and exploration properties. Her specialties include project and property evaluation; resource development; feasibility study and project management including data room setup; commodity and company reviews; technical reviews, audits, and due diligence; and Competent Person’s Reports under JORC and SAMREC. Stella has participated in preparation, compilation, and review of over 250 NI 43-101 technical reports
Before joining MTS, Ms. Searston worked for various organizations as a contractor and consultant, including Battle Mountain Gold, Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines, Emperor Gold Mines, Anaconda Nickel, Asarco Exploration, the Western Australian Department of Mines and Petroleum, Placer Dome Asia Pacific, and Bateleur Minerals (18 years). Most recently, she has worked for the Mining & Metals consulting arm of AMEC/Amec Foster Wheeler (12 years). Stella received a B.Sc. degree in Geology from James Cook University in 1986 and a Masters degree in Economic Geology from the University of Tasmania in 1999.
Ted Eggleston, Principal Geologist, RM-SME
Dr. Eggleston has 43 years of experience in technical evaluations, exploration property evaluations, research, reserve audits, fatal-flaw evaluations, and design and management of mineral exploration programs worldwide. His specialties include execution of audits and due diligence on advanced projects, mainly in evaluation of the quality of geological studies, drilling programs, sampling, databases and assay quality assurance/quality control. Ted is a Competent/Qualified Person in the field of exploration data quality, database integrity, and assay QA-QC.
Before joining MTS, Dr. Eggleston worked for Tenneco Minerals, Phelps Dodge, and Cominco for six years and AMEC Mining & Metals for 25 years. Ted received a B.A. degree from Western State University of Colorado and M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
Ian Crundwell, Associate Resource Estimator - Mining Engineer, APGO and SACNASP
Mr. Crundwell has over 30 years’ experience in both consulting and operational roles for base and precious metal mines in North America, South America and Africa. Ian's core competencies and professional strengths include resource and reserve estimation, geostatistics, grade control investigation, and due diligence studies.
Before joining MTS, Mr. Crundwell worked for Impala Platinum in South Africa for 21 years and AMEC Mining & Metals for 11 years. Ian received a B.Sc. degree in Engineering from University of Witswatersrand in 1989 and a Dipoma in Applied Geostatistics from the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Mines de Paris in 1995.
David Thomas, Associate Geologist - Resource Estimator, APEGBC
Mr. Thomas has more than 20 years of experience in operational and exploration roles at underground and open-pit gold exploration and development properties. He has acted as QP for mineral resources for several commodities and deposit types. David has significant strengths in geostatistics, development of geological models to control resource estimation, exploration data quality, exploration program design and execution. Mr. Thomas is experienced with MineSight and Gemcom software.
Before joining MTS, Mr. Thomas worked for TVX Gold in Greece and the Czech Republic for 5 years, Dundee Precious Metals in Eastern Europe for 6 years, AMEC Mining & Metals in Vancouver for 7 years, DKT Solutions for 7 years, and Red Eagle Mining in Colombia for 2 years. Dave received a B.Sc. Honors degree in Geology from Durham University in 1993 and a M.Sc. in Mineral Deposit Evaluation from the Royal School of Mines in 1995.
Don Tschabrun, Associate Mining Engineer, RM-SME
Mr. Tschabrun has more than 35 years of international operations and project evaluation experience in precious metal, base metal, and industrial mineral projects. He has a mastery of 3D geologic ore deposit modelling and ore reserve estimation; engineering and operations experience in mine planning and design, capital budgeting, economic and financial evaluations. Mr. Tschabrun is a Qualified Person in accordance with U.S., Canadian, and Australian guidelines. He has directed operations and permitting groups working in sync with Federal and State agencies to get projects permitted for operation. Mr. Tschabrun is recognized by U.S. courts as an expert in mine operations and economic evaluations.
Before joining MTS, Mr. Tschabrun worked for Gold Fields for 8 years and was Chief Operating Officer for Gryphon Gold at Borealis and Jipangu International at Florida Canyon. Don received B.Sc. (Geological Engineering) and M.Sc. (Mineral Economics) degrees from the Colorado School of Mines in 1976 and 1981 respectively.
Raul Herrera, Associate Metallurgist - Process Engineer
Mr. Herrera has over 28 years of experience in the mining and chemical industries. Raul has experience in process study and operations roles at large copper and gold projects in Mexico, Arizona, and Peru. He has been responsible for study and project management, mine start-up and operations, engineering and planning, production and cost budgeting, strategic planning, and personnel training and development. His experience includes feasibility and trade-off studies, Capex / Opex estimation, process design, simulation and modelling for crushing, mineral processing and SX/EW plants. His cost efficient and innovative operational management skills have proven successful on both small and large-scale mines.
Before joining MTS, Mr. Herrera worked for Grupo Mexico at Cananea for 23 years and was General Operations Manager for Timmons Gold at San Francisco. Raul received a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the Chihuahua Technical Institute in 1987 and a M.Sc. in Mining Business Administration from the University of Sonora in 2001.
Franciso Ramos, Associate Geologist
Mr. Ramos has more than 10 years of exploration, resource development, and mine operations experience in Nevada and South America. Francisco has significant experience with drill program management, database management, data quality, and geological modeling in support of resource estimation. Mr. Ramos has worked on projects in Nevada, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, and Bolivia.
Before joining MTS, Mr. Ramos worked for Pan American Silver at the Espejo Mine in Argentina, Colombia Crest in Colombia, Eaglecrest in Bolivia, and Gryphon Gold, Midway, Minefinders, and Golden Phoenix in Nevada. Francisco received a B.Sc. degree in Geology from University of Nevada Reno in 2006.
Bruce Genereaux, Associate Mineral Economist, RM-SME
Mr. Genereaux has over 30 years of world-wide business, financial, and operation experience across industrial minerals, precious and base metals, energy, and environmental industries. Bruce provides financial and cash flow modeling services for project evaluations, due diligence, and advanced mining studies.
Before joining MTS, Mr. Genereaux worked as an independent consultant for 16 years, RTZ Luzenac for six years, and Cyprus Minerals for five years. Bruce received a B.A. degree in Geology from Middlebury College in 1986 and a M.Sc. degree in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines in 1989. Bruce is a Registered Member of the Society of Mining, Metallurgy, and Exploration (SME).
Mark Hertel, Associate Resource Estimator - Geologist - Mine Planner, RM-SME
Mr. Hertel has more than 30 years of operations and consulting experience primarily in gold, silver, copper, cobalt, iron, uranium, and industrial minerals, obtained in advanced exploration projects to operating mines in North and South America, Mongolia and central Africa. Mark is an expert in resource estimation for open pit and underground gold and copper deposits.
Before joining MTS, Mr. Hertel worked for Independence Mining at Jerritt Canyon for 9 years, Phelps Dodge for 11 years, and AMEC Mining & Metals for 11 years. Mark received B.Sc. degrees from Southern Illinois University (Geology) in 1978 and Metropolitan State College (Math) in 1986.
